Stacking the Shelves 4

Stacking the shelves  is a meme hosted by Reading Reality and details can be found here https://www.readingreality.net/2021/05/stacking-the-shelves-meme-official-re-launch/. The gorgeous graphic is also used courtesy of the site.

My stacking the shelves posts are all about the books that I get from my local library. Libraries are continually under threat of closure or reduced hours but they are such an important way of getting books into people’s hands that they need supporting. By highlighting the amazing books that I pick up every week, I hope to inspire maybe just one person to visit their library and borrow a book

My library visits are a bit all over the place at the moment with holidays getting in the way of regular Friday visits but this is my current stack that I picked up this week. Three of them are books that I had ordered through the library reservation system which I love as a way of being able to read newly released books.

My Current Library Stack

Ariadne by Jennifer Saint I saw this book in Waterstones and it really appealed to me. I can’t wait to find out what really happened to her.

Circus of Wonders by Elizabeth Macneal This is another one that I spotted on display at Waterstones and thought that it sounded interesting.

One Hundred Years of Lennie and Margot I have seen this rated really highly on several book blogs lately so ordered this one too.

The Best Things by Mel Giedroyc This was just sitting on the library shelf as I went in. Celebrity books can be very variable in my opinion but I haven’t read a book that is supposed to be funny for a while so I thought that I would give it a try.

So that’s my Stacking the Shelves post for this week. Have you read any of them? Let me know what you thought.

  1. I have not read any of these, but I have heard Rave reviews for One Hundred Years of Lennie and Margot and it sure looks good. Happy Reading.
