A Half Term Walk

Clear blue skies and frost sparkling on the ground. What a lovely start to Half Term. As well as the lovely feeling of being able to lie in bed while my poor husband gets up to go to work.

It was a lovely morning for a walk. The sunlight on bare branches against the sky was beautiful. As I walked along the bridle path, the colours were so bright that only the bare branches gave away the fact that it is still Winter.

I also spotted celandines (I think so anyway)  hidden in the verge as well as masses of snowdrops.

By the river bank, there was a tree covered in catkins which gleamed really brightly in the sun as they moved gently in the breeze.

It was a beautiful walk. Just being able to walk in the sunshine lifts my spirits.
